1-stop shop! We do everything except pour slabs. We can install a concrete block foundation for your shed if desired otherwise we suggest contacting another company for the foundation work and we can supply the shed.
Lead time for the average 8x12 shed is 3-4 days to build and a few days to setup, finish, install flooring, roof, paint etc. As we supply other shed companies and resellers our lead times vary but we can let you know and keep you updated by email. Lead times tend to increase in the Spring and may be up to 3 months. Please plan ahead.
We cater to both budget conscious and high quality luxury designs. All panels are insulated and we utilize mold/mildew resistant building materials and layers to make your "shed" feel more like a home.
We provide full design+build studio sheds customizable from the ground up. All wiring/electrical/lighting/security/doors/windows/fixtures are roughed in and installed inhouse according to your needs.
We can also build modern westcoast architectural styles with wood or steel framing. Units can be built in our shop and craned onsite or sealed watertight panels can be flatpacked and assembled onsite. We primarily do the complete design, manufacturing, delivery, and installation ourselves so the units are move-in ready.
We supply flatpacked units to resellers (minimum of 5 units).
Every unit is designed from scratch with 3D modeling and shop drawings/renderings. Construction begins upon approval of the designs which includes rough-ins for electrical, plumbing, lighting fixtures, and more. We plan to carry more design/models in 2021 as the trend towards working from home continues to grow. These are manufactured locally in Surrey (9000sf facility) and we can also ramp up production as a white label supplier for other provinces and USA.
The custom made panels are custom wired/insulated, framed, plumbed, and shipped onsite where they are then assembled quickly and efficiently thus reducing costs. We can build these in otherwise hard to reach environments (rural regions) that are inaccessible by crane operators. If you want it craned we can do that too. Some modifications require permits even when under 108sqft.
The standard panels are 4x8' (or custom sizes as we design+build inhouse from scratch. Prototypes are currently 25-50% off for a limited time valid Sept-October 2020. If you'd like to do your own finishing and add your own windows/fixtures/installation we can price out a "shell" unit and ship it by flatpack or also install it for you. All panels are premade and labelled so they can be set up onsite seamlessly.
You can choose rockwool, open or closed cell spray foam insulation. We prefer spray foam to help keep insects and foul smells from entering the shed. This allows for the best in comfort for use as a live-in work/office that you can use throughout the winter while also staying cool in the summer. Our spray foam technicians are certified and this is also done inhouse.
We deliver and install across BC and do the finishing or you can take your time with the finishing to make it look spectacular..
Customers can choose between plywood, cement board, or moisture resistant gypsum for the interior.
Without permit requirement: 8x8, 8x10, 8x10, 8x12 (most popular), 10x10, 10x20, and even larger laneways and multiplexes (larger sizes can be dropped onto a trailer). Adding additional electrical receptacles, adding extra height, and other changes may require a permit. Contact us for full details.
Our studio sheds/backyard offices are built better than most traditional homes. We can ship these on a skid across Canada. The panel system is unique as they are reusable. The sheds can be disassembled and reassembled on a new lot. You may even add more panels to increase the size of an existing shed down the road. Or you could donate your existing studio to a friend and upgrade to another.
We can customize your studio shed/cabin however you like with built in electrical, plumbing, heating, lighting, wifi, and more. Just let us know where you would like your outlets located and how many and we will drill the holes and run the wires at our shop prior to delivery. Onsite installation is carried out without cutting as all parts are prefabricated in shop. All of our designs are custom framed at this stage as we are still making prototypes and can accommodate any size windows, doors, and fixtures. Our introductory pricing includes everything from design to delivery, installation, and finishing or we can supply the unit if you wish to do the installation and finishing yourself. Some of our shed designs can be set up and finished within a day.

These backyard office sheds consist of materials that are much stronger and resistant to mold and mildew. They are a more viable option to use as a backyard office or work studio than traditional sheds.

Build a shed, garage, or other accessory building
Sheds are intended to be used as minor accessory structures for storing goods. They are not permitted in a front yard in most zones, and they can't be used for parking or occupation.
Whether or not you need a permit to build a shed depends on the size of the shed.
Is your shed smaller than 10 sq meters? No permit required
You do not need a building permit to put up a shed smaller than 10 sq. meters (108 sq ft).
However, you will still need to submit a site plan to the building department, showing the size and placement of the shed, as it must conform to the zoning bylaw.
Generally, the setbacks and height restrictions for a shed are:
- 3m (10ft) from a street (other than a fronting street)
- 1.4m (5ft) from a lane
- 1.2m (4ft) from a side property line
- 1.5m (5ft) from any structure
- 3.6m (12ft) maximum height for a flat roof
- 4.5m (15ft) maximum height for a roof with a slope greater than 3 in 12.
However, the rules for setbacks and siting are specific to neighbourhood zones. Refer to your specific zone information for exact size and siting specifications.
Is your shed larger than 10 sq meters? You need a permit
A shed greater than 10 sq meters can be built in combination with a garage, but the shed itself can't be used for parking. If you want to use your shed for parking, as a studio, dwelling, or hobby area, the structure is no longer considered a shed, and may not be permitted.
